Petroleum Licence

PLEASE NOTE: With immediate effect, Durham County Council issues Petroleum Licencing. Contact the Council by post, telephone or via their website. Details are at the bottom of the page.

Under section 1 of the Petroleum Consolidation Act 1928, a licence is normally required to store petroleum spirit (petrol) at filling stations and other facilities where petrol is dispensed as a fuel into the tanks of internal combustion engines.
