Arson is a crime that has far reaching impacts on our communities, ecology and environment of County Durham and the Borough of Darlington.
Arson and deliberate fire setting is not a ‘victimless’ as many people may see it, it places lives at risk, takes away business opportunities and drives families from housing estates.
Research has shown that 85% of businesses that suffer an arson of deliberate fire setting incident fail to recover and lead to the workforce losing their jobs.
