Santa joined firefighters on a festive fire engine tour across County Durham and Darlington.
Firefighters have spread Christmas cheer to families across County Durham and Darlington with their magical Santa On Tour event.
Crews from County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service (CDDFRS) took Santa on a festive fire engine tour to visit youngsters at stations and supermarkets across the area.
The two-day event took place on Wednesday, December 11 and Thursday, December 12 and raised £321 for The Fire Fighters Charity.
The charity helps all serving and retired members of the UK's fire family to live healthier and happier lives by providing vital support and access to services.
Now in its fourth year, the hugely popular event attracted hundreds of people wanting to catch a glimpse of Santa before the big day.
Santa on Tour organiser, Durham Firefighter Connor McCabe, said: “This is one of the highlights of our year!
“It was great to be able to put smiles on the faces of children at Christmas and bring festive cheer to families in the communities that we serve.
“Thank you to everyone who came along and showed their support for The Fire Fighters Charity again this year.
“We managed to raise £321 from the event which will go towards making a real difference to the lives of our firefighters and Service staff.
“We want to wish everyone a safe and happy Christmas!”
This festive season CDDFRS is calling on the public to ‘Give the Gift of a Home Fire Safety Visit’.
During a home fire safety visit, staff from your local fire station will come to your home to chat about how to keep you and your family safe from fire.
This includes fitting smoke alarms for free and mapping out escape routes in the event of a fire
